COUNTY OF ORANGE.THE CASE INVOLVED A 2011 INVESTIGATION OF CHILD ABUSE BY THE SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCY AND ITS FAILURE TO CROSS-REPORT THE ABUSE COMPLAINT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT.

Steve Rocco - Oral re: California Motors Direct business behind his home fumigates the neighborhood by speed racing and gunning motors; filed police and fire complaints over the years because they are polluting the neighborhood; paint fumes come into his home; business plays mariachi music day and night; mosquitos in front of business

 

Bryan Kaye - Oral re: Discussion with Steve Kim at Project Kinship regarding solution to releasing people from jail at 3:00 a.m.; addressing racism by Supervisor Do; Pulitzer Prize–winning photograph of 'The Vulture and the Little Girl'

 

Eileen McDermott - Oral re: Worked in the medical field; sees disrespect for the citizens who come to speak; received an email indicating Supervisors think speakers are nuts for coming to Board meetings; constitutional right to stand behind citizens and declare there was election fraud; speaking for veterans

Vice Chairman Do - Oral re: Article regarding new permitting process for night and farmer's markets; unpermitted street vendors are not required to meet the same requirements as permitted vendors/organizers; requested Health Care Agency provide a strategy and work with cities to ensure illegal street vendors are removed or re-examine County health rules and requirements if State law allows for certain activities to occur on street, fairs, etc.

 

Supervisor Sarmiento - Oral re: Worked with Health Care Agency to inform the public that wanted to conduct vending on the street; vending is permissible per State law and people need to know their rights and how they need to comply with City and County permits; need to inform and educate the public to correctly run a business
