COUNTY OF ORANGE.THOUGH ABSENT, SUPERVISOR FOLEY DID INFORM ME THAT SHE APPROVES OF THE SETTLEMENT IN THIS MATTER.IN THIS CASE, PLAINTIFF, A TRUCK DRIVER, SUFFERED AN INJURY WHILE PICKING UP A LOAD BEHIND THE OFFICES OF THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS.A FORKLIFT DRIVER DROPPED A METAL RAMP ON PLAINTIFF'S FOOT AND PLAINTIFF SUFFERED SERIOUS INJURIES, INCLUDING BROKEN BONES IN HIS FOOT, WHICH REQUIRED SURGICAL INTERVENTIONS.THE SETTLEMENT APPROVED TODAY REMAINS SUBJECT TO THE FINAL APPROVAL OF OTHERS.WHEN THE SETTLEMENT IS FINALIZED, COPIES OF THE AGREEMENT WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE OFFICE OF CEO-RISK MANAGEMENT TO ANY PERSON WHO INQUIRES.
