speak on a matter not appearing in the agenda, but under the jurisdiction of
the Board of Supervisors, you may do so during Public Comments at the end of
the meeting. Speaker request forms must
be deposited prior to the beginning of the consent calendar, the reading of the
individual agenda items, the opening of the public hearing and/or the beginning
of Public Comments. When addressing the
Board, it is requested that you state your name and city of residence for the
record. Members of the public desiring
to speak should address the Board as a whole through the Chair. Comments to individual Supervisors or staff
are not permitted. Speakers may address
the Board on up to three occasions, with three minutes allotted to the speaker
per occasion. PowerPoint and video presentations must be requested in advance
of the meeting through the Clerk.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

Chairman Do - Authorize and direct Health Care Agency Director to amend existing agreements and enter into new agreements upon approval by County Counsel for purchase of short-term motel and hotel stays and transportation services and authorize and direct Auditor-Controller to approve payments for purchase of food vouchers for approximately 400 homeless persons presently encamped on the Santa Ana riverbed between Taft Avenue/Ball Road and Memory Lane; authorize and direct the Directors of OC Public Works and OC Community Resources to take all actions necessary to expand the shelter capacity at the Bridges at Kraemer Place; authorize and direct the installation of temporary, short-term capacity shelters at existing County owned properties as approved by the Board; authorize the County Executive Officer or designee to negotiate and execute an agreement with the WISEPlace shelter for women, Santa Ana, for 100 shelter beds and related services and to collaborate with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and other local, state, and federal agencies and private, non-profit organizations to coordinate delivery of services; and make California Environmental Quality Act and other findings |
