release improvements in the City of Santa Ana; provide transportation to
released inmates, adopt SB42; educate the community regarding the differences
between shelters, permanent supportive housing and recuperative care beds;
reform the Courtyard; stop transporting individuals from South County to

geographically throughout the County and not concentrated in the City of

with Mayor Pulido where the benefits and financial gains of cannabis

control what is happening with cannabis businesses and homeless throughout

Venancio Chavez - Oral re: Delinquency and
crimes in his neighborhood; homeless moved from Civic Center to nearby
neighborhoods and vandalize, urinate in public, etc.; asked what can be done
to ensure this doesn't happen in his neighborhood; wife was attacked by a

letter from Supervisor Do stating Yale Street construction would stop and
community meetings would be held prior to any construction; requested to not
dump County social problems on the City of Santa Ana; Courtyard needs to be
moved to South County cities; existing shelter in the City of Santa Ana is
not at capacity because homeless do not have roots within the City of Santa
Ana. |
