cost savings that can be passed through to member cities such as Santa Ana
who could save $20 million per year if they switched 9-1-1 services to
private ambulance companies; Health Care Agency should include option in the
RFP asking bidders to provide costs if they staff ambulances with private
paramedics; regarding the OCFA amendment 4, suggested adding an item that
goes back to original Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) which would allow cities
to leave the JPA with a one year notice; and to reduce pension liabilities,
there should be immediate negotiations to convert pensions to 401k style plan |
