RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):

 

Authorize OC Public Libraries to accept a donation in the amount of $21,139.29 from the Friends of the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Library to offset the cost of new furnishings in the library.

 

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

Accepting the donation from the Friends of the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Library will offset the cost of replacing key interior furnishings in the reading area of the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Library.

 

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

 

The Friends of the Library operates a bookstore, holds fundraisers and solicits donations to provide funding, reading material and program support to the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Library. The Friends of the Library desires to fund the replacement of worn-out furnishings with new tables and chairs to improve the aesthetic appeal for patrons using the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Library. Accepting the donation from the Friends of the Library will fully fund the cost of replacing key interior furnishings.

 

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

 

Revenue from this donation will be absorbed in the FY 2017-18 Adopted Budget.
